So many activities
There's something for everyone on Libong, whether it's spotting the almost extinct Dugongs, birdwatching, photography, snorkelling, diving, canoeing, fishing, walking, exploring, island hopping or just simply relaxing - it's all here!
"Moped & canoe hire"
Another great way to see the island is by renting a moped or canoe. By moped you can visit the National Park areas, explore the local villages, waterfalls or find some of the best view points on the island. By canoe you can reach some of the hidden beaches and spot troups of monkeys along the coastline. Thung Yakha and To Kea Bay are set against a small waterfall which flows down from the surrounding hills. Camping is possible in the hillside, inquire at the Forestry Office.
"Birds and animals"
Libong is reputed for it's rich and diverse birdlife, especially sea birds. In the low season, large flocks of waders in particular the Crab Plover can be seen at Laem Chu Hoi and Hat Tup. This is also a good place for observing Dugongs. There are large colonies of monkeys on the island and a range of reptiles, including monitor lizards.
We organise many different boating trips such as spotting Dugongs, snorkeling on Ko Kradan, camping on Ko Rok, visiting the Emerald Caves on Ko Muk, swimming by the limestone cliffs of Lao Leang or diving at Ko Waen. These can be tailored to your requirements together with packed lunches and guides.
